Barucci
Gallery has been Shirley Schwartz’ life, love, and passion for over 25
years. Starting out as a small frame shop, Barucci’s has evolved into a
fine art source. Barucci Gallery has made a mark in the heart of
Clayton, where they are known for their lively contemporary art, by
regional and national artists with emphasis on watercolor, acrylics,
serigraphs, hand blown glass, ceramics and jewelry by award-winning
artists. In addition Barucci is the official framer for the St. Louis
Art Fair; which draws an attendance of over 150,000 people.
Faith Berger, Shirley’s daughter joined the business 17 years ago. Her previous retail experience complimented Shirley’s strong business skills. Faith introduced an aggressive marketing campaign, including advertising, special events, exhibits and community relations. Barucci Gallery art exhibits have helped raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis, Ronald McDonald House, Make a Wish Foundation, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, and the Wellness Community of Greater St. Louis. Throughout the years Barucci Gallery has become a nationally recognized gallery, receiving awards such as the “top 100 Retailer of Craft” from Niche Magazine four times. Barucci gallery has also been featured in exclusive magazines such as décor, American Style, Southern Living and Architectural Digest. Its loyal staff is skilled with knowledge of design, form, texture, and proficient at placement whether coordinating residential or corporate spaces.
